Description:
The RHS offers a number of bursaries each year to assist horticulturists in financing specific projects, including overseas travel. The Coke Trust Awards and RHS Financial Awards - which include The Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Bursary - are available for a wide range of projects closely associated with improving horticultural knowledge and experience. The Blaxall Valentine Bursary and the Jimmy Smart Memorial Bursary are for plant-study expeditions, the Osaka Travel Awards give horticulturists from the UK and Japan the opportunity to study in each other's countries and the E A Bowles Memorial Bursary is to aid a project on the work and interests of E A Bowles.

Criteria:
Eligible proposals must be closely identified with horticulture, and include study visits, practical training placements, plant study/collecting expeditions, conference attendance, minor research projects and taxonomic studies. Fees for educational courses are not eligible.
