Criteria:
The scholarships will be awarded to two citizens of India who are normally resident in and have completed their secondary education in India, and who are accepted for admission on a full-time basis for an undergraduate programme of study at the University of Edinburgh. The scholarship will be awarded broadly on the basis of academic merit with candidates requiring an overall average of 85% in the Standard XII Higher Secondary School Certificate from the CBSE or CICSE national Boards, or certain selected state Boards. Students with exceptional A Levels, IB grades or other acceptable qualifications as approved by the University of Edinburgh will also be considered. In addition to the above academic qualifications, the selection panel will also take into account the financial circumstances of applicants to ensure that as far as possible a student's financial situation does not impede a university education at the University of Edinburgh.
