Media & Communications Scholarship
- All Countries
Deadline: March 31, June 30, September 30, and December 31
Description:
Communications could be anything involving writing or speaking, right? What we're referring to here are programs such as journalism, broadcasting, advertising, speech, mass communications, marketing, speech writing, etc. But you shouldn't consider this to be a comprehensive list of what does and doesn't constitute "media and communication," especially since the name and structure of these programs vary widely from school to school. In the end, if you think there's some reason to doubt that we'd consider your program to be media or communication, just explain in your essay why you think it is. We're reasonable people - just make your case, and your application will likely be considered along with everyone else's. Communications and media have always been popular degree programs in U.S. colleges. They're a great way for outgoing people to remain outgoing in their careers, as these careers almost always expose one's work to a large audience. Today, that's more true than ever. The Internet has made mass communication available to everyone with a computer and a modem, so communications - especially global communications - remains a booming field.
