The Education Abroad Network Sequel Scholarship
Description:
The purpose of this scholarship is to recognize those students who have once again made the commitment to study abroad. We realize that extra financial assistance is necessary to participate in multiple study abroad programs within a college career. $500 scholarships will be awarded to an Education Abroad Network participant who has formerly participated in the Education Abroad Network full semester study abroad program. Requirements for the Sequel Scholarship will be based on the following: * Must be accepted into the Education Abroad Network program, including semester, summer, winter, or internship programs. Students may not apply for the scholarship before they are formally accepted into the Education Abroad Network program. * Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.3 and earned a 3.0 GPA or higher each term. * Must be enrolled as an undergraduate student * Disbursement can only be applied towards total program fees. Criteria:
Selection Criteria will be based on the submission of the application and essay, judged by a panel of four independent The Education Abroad Network staff members. * To be considered for the Education Abroad Network Sequel Scholarship you must meet the above requirements. * Assessment will be based on a one-page essay addressing the following topic: "How did I grow from my first study abroad experience and what is the value of studying abroad again?" * No exceptions regarding the above requirement will be made.
