Description: Each year LAS awards nearly 20 scholarships to UIC students in good academic standing, in LAS and out, in majors from Chemistry to Sociology, with financial need and without.

Criteria: Students applying for any of the scholarships offered by LAS must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be eligible:

* currently enrolled in the UIC College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, unless otherwise stipulated;
* in good standing (minimum 2.0/4.0 GPA), unless otherwise stipulated;
* have completed a minimum of 30 semester hours at UIC, unless otherwise stipulated;
* enrolled at UIC for Fall semester 2008. Students graduating prior to Fall 2008 are not eligible.
