Description:
The Upson S. Garrigus Global Ambassador Grant is for either undergraduate or graduate students in the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences who have demonstrated a strong interest in international issues. The grant was established to recognize Upson Garrigus's long association with the University of Illinois and his commitment to the improvement of humanity through understanding of people and cultures. Through this grant the Donor wishes to encourage and recognize students who are in the process of creating a unique learning abroad experience related to an academic, research or service project. For example, the student may be setting up a learning abroad experience related to an honors' research project or master's research project. Another example may be a humanitarian service project.
