Description: ACES undergraduate students who have elected to add an international experience to their education can apply for limited financial assistance. These funds are administered by ACES Academic Programs and are made available through the generosity of private donors who want to encourage our students to take advantage of international study opportunities. As a rule of thumb and subject to availability of funds in relation to number of applicants, it is our goal to provide students with a scholarship. These funds will usually be credited to your UIUC student account in the term that you are registered for study abroad.

Criteria: In return for the scholarship qualified students are expected to submit biweekly journals from abroad, an evaluation of or report on your study abroad experience, attending the welcome home reception, and helping out at informational events like the SAO Fair. You are expected to give back to the scholarship program by encouraging lots of other students to study abroad.

Includes: As an ACES undergraduate student, you are eligible for a special study abroad scholarship. For participating in the following kind of study abroad program you can expect:

* USD250 for a study tour (1-3 weeks)
* USD300 for a winter break program (3 weeks)
* USD500 for a summer program or internship (4 weeks or longer)
* USD1,000 for a semester abroad
* USD1,500 for an academic year abroad
