Description:
Deakin University offers scholarships to international students of outstanding academic merit who wish to undertake research Masters and Doctoral programs. The scholarships provide financial support for three years for a Doctoral program and two years for a Masters program. The University offers a range of scholarships for higher degrees by research. Selection for scholarships is based on outstanding academic merit, and the primary criterion to be competitive is a Bachelors degree with first class honours or a Research Masters degree with exceptional results. The other factor that will be considered is evidence of research potential (e.g. authorship of papers in refereed journals).

Criteria:
Applicants must: * hold a Bachelors degree with first class Honours or an equivalent qualification; * be citizens of a country other than Australia or New Zealand and not hold permanent residence status in Australia; * study full-time on campus at Deakin University; * satisfy all academic requirements for entry to the Masters or Doctoral program including English language proficiency levels.

Successful applicants will receive tuition fees (up to AUS20,000). Additional benefits such as paid Overseas Health cover during the tenure of the award and thesis production reimbursement may be available to outstanding applicants.
