Australia Partnership Scholarship (APS) program

Description: The Australia Partnership Scholarship (APS) program is designed for postgraduate students from Indonesia who wish to study by coursework or by research. The scholarships cover academic and other compulsory fees for certain priority courses.

The APS program is an initiative of the Australian Prime Minister and Indonesian President and is part of the Australian Government's AUS1 billion, five-year Australia-Indonesia Partnership for Reconstruction and Development (AIPRD) initiative in response to the earthquake and tsunami in Aceh and North Sumatra.

What can I study?

Scholarships are available for postgraduate courses in the priority areas of Economic Governance, Public Sector Management and Education. Please visit website for other eligible courses.

Criteria: Interested students must meet the following:

* be Indonesian citizens and not permanent residents of Australia;
* possess an undergraduate degree (S1) from an Indonesian or overseas university. Scholarships are also available to applicants who already possess a Masters (S2) from an Indonesian university;
* have an overall band score of 6.5 or better in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic Module (or equivalent), with result showing no individual band score less than 6. Please note that courses in the Faculty of Education require an overall IELTS score (or equivalent) of 6.5, with no individual band score less than 6.5.
