Description:
The Foundation for Asia Pacific Education is a 501C(3) non-profit organization which provides scholarships for students studying abroad in the Asia Pacific region of the world, including Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji. In each academic year, the Foundation awards more than USD200,000 in scholarships and grants to help students who may otherwise be unable to study abroad and ensure that students have an affordable international experience in the Asia Pacific region. The foundation may award funds to students who are from specific academic majors, who demonstrate diverse backgrounds or participation, and/or who are from specific universities or colleges. The Foundation may also have a general pool of scholarship funds available to qualified students. Details of applying for this Foundation's scholarships will be available to participants upon acceptance.

Interested applicants must meet the following: * At the time of applying for a scholarship, you must be enrolled in a North American college or university where transfer credit from an academic program abroad will be applied to your degree being earned * You must be a US or Canadian citizen * Your time abroad must be spent in one of the following countries: * American Samoa (U.S. territory) * Australia * Brunei * Cambodia * People's Republic of China (including Hong Kong and Macau) * Republic of China (Taiwan) * Fiji * Guam (U.S. territory) * Indonesia * Japan * Kiribati * North Korea * South Korea * Laos * Malaysia * Marshall Islands * Federated States of Micronesia * Nauru * New Zealand * Northern Marianas (U.S. territory) * Palau * Papua New Guinea * Philippines * Samoa * Singapore * Solomon Islands * Thailand * Timor-Leste * Tonga * Tuvalu * Vanuatu * Vietnam
