Description:
The purpose of these awards is to provide travel support for Masters students majoring in Italian, German and Slavic Studies and doctoral candidates directed by faculty members in the Italian, German and Slavic Divisions of the Department of Modern Languages. Travel may be for the presentation of papers at conferences or attendance at the MLA convention for job interviews. Graduates who attend the MLA for job interviews in December may apply the following February for support in respect of this. In all other cases, applications must be for travel in the current or next semester.

The grant awards will not normally exceed USD250 for regional conferences or USD500 for national and international conferences.
